Frequently asked questions.
Do I really need a health and wellness copywriter?
I know that you are incredible at what you do – but do your future clients know that? Someone has to spread the word, and that’s why I’m here to help.
I’m a big fan of talking about the elephant in the room – the game of Google. Boosting your SEO, or search engine optimization is how you keep from being the last kid picked to be on the dodgeball team, or ending up on the tenth page of Google.
Copywriting is essential for making sure you don’t become lost in search engine queries so that the people who need you can actually find you.
Whether you’re looking to revamp the words on your website, build the content library you offer your audience, or finally get that email list popping off – your friendly neighborhood copywriter is here to save the day.
You might be an incredible writer yourself, but copywriting is its own separate skill set. We all have our own strengths and skills –that’s what makes the world go ‘round!
What’s that? You know how to write copy but you just can’t find the time, or need someone to proofread that bit of brilliance you’ve crafted? I’ve got your back.
What is a brand strategist?
What gives this health and wellness copywriter an extra edge? It’s my ability to create cohesive messaging and communications across whatever platforms you dabble in, aka brand strategy.
As a brand strategist, I use in-depth research of your business and others in your field to tell a story that inspires, informs, and illustrates just what sets you apart. Brand strategists ensure that there’s consistency in what you’re creating and the impact it has on your audience.
Brand strategy and copywriting go hand in hand to create harmony and bring the business you dream of to life!
What niches do you work in?
“Health and wellness copywriter” can seem pretty broad, and while I’m happy to support clients in a variety of fields, I do have a few I specialize in. My main niches are reproductive health and sexual wellness, medical copywriting, holistic health, and holistic beauty.
I also love working with companies focused on supporting the health of not only their customers but the planet. Sustainability copywriting means creating educational and marketing content for brands taking steps to protect the Earth while following their dreams!
how do you get to know new clients?
After a client fills out an intake form * wink, wink * we hop on a discovery call so I can get to the meat and potatoes of their business, dreams, inspirations, and goals – and how we can communicate that to their future customers.
I also do my own research into whatever content they have out already and see where the gaps are with other people in their field.
What is your copywriting process like?
Once I have a solid grasp on who my clients are, their goals, and what their brand voice sounds, feels, and tastes like, I dive into a brainstorming sesh, followed by in-depth research to back up my ideas, then fine-tune all this juicy goodness into captivating copy that razzle dazzles!
I of course want you to be stoked with the work we put out there into the world, so my fee includes up to 3 rounds of edits, after that I charge my hourly rate.
How do payments work?
No two projects are the same, which means my payment structure changes depending on my clients’ needs, like whether they need hourly or per project.
Have a smaller one-off project you need done lickity split? I request payment upfront for those.
Something bigger you need me to tackle? That requires 50% before starting, and the remaining 50% before making any edits.
For copy marathon days, I charge a $100 deposit that goes toward your overall fee.
Let’s get to the logistics: I use an invoicing software that allows you to pay with a credit card, and I also accept direct bank transfers. Easy peasy!
Where are you located?
I’m a California girl born and raised – from Humboldt County to San Francisco to San Diego. These days, however, I’m roaming the world as a digital nomad.
That means any meetings and brainstorming sessions we have can be done from the comfort of our homes, or in my case – a beachside cafe.
